Mother's Day Weekend

I took my mom to happy hour at Palomino's on Friday night. It was kinda weird, kinda not.
I took her there because they serve three of my mom's favorite things:
1. Pizza
2. Clams
3. Beer

I love happy hour! Beer with mom is cool too! (except for the lecture on drinking and driving that came with it)

After, we went to the mall so we could buy a Swarovski crystal necklace with some unused store credit left over from something I returned last year. I pretty much didn't have to pay a thing. My mom bought the EXACT same necklace she bought for me 2 years ago. Typically when my mom buys me gifts, she buys things that she particularly likes so that she can steal it from me. I guess this time around she wanted her own. This means matching bling.

Saturday was my real gift to her. It was actually forced.
The gift?
2 hours of physical labor.
My sister and I vacuumed every room and every hallway, including the kitchen and the dining room. Tomorrow morning my sister has to clean the bathrooms. HAPPY FREAKIN MOTHERS DAY UMMA.

Dinner was greentea soba noodles we got on sale for 99cents. They were disgusting, but my mom pretended to love them and ate my leftovers. Don't buy 99cent stuff from korean markets. Scam!

This year there were no flowers because LAST year I bought my mom three different bouqets and I got yelled at for wasting money even though I bought them from a wholesale market. Of course, today my mom guilt tripped me, "Why didn't you buy me flowers on the way home?". I can't win. ever.
