While several UCLA players were perplexed about President Barack Obama picking Virginia Commonwealth to beat the Bruins in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the Rams have a different take.
"It's pretty cool the President picked us to win,'' VCU guard Joey Rodriguez said. "So we have to play well. He is the President."
VCU center Larry Sanders is also loving it.
"That neat,'' Sanders said. "I don't want to be so overwhelmed that I don't enjoy things. Everyone doesn't get a chance to go to the NCAAs, so I want to enjoy it."
