Howdy. Summer is hot. My temper is UP. But I'm thankful I have yet to feel the sting of post-college life. I have no updates about my life except that I've been distracted by good things, thus keeping me away from my blog.
Today I checked out a new church with my friend Lauren in the business epicenter of West L.A.... Avenue of the Stars! It's called PARADOX church and service is inside the Century City AMC. So cool to have service at the movies. The church is intimate and the people are LOVELY! Demographic: 99% White post-grads, young couples, and a few married folks with kids. I was the only asian there but obviously no one thought much of it. Anyone looking for a church near Westwood or West L.A. should definitely check it out. Service starts at 10am, coffee and bagels are served 30 minutes before.
During worship, we sang There Is a Fountain, a beautiful hymn...
There is a fountain filled with blood
drawn from Emmanuel's veins;
and sinners plunged beneath that flood
lose all their guilty stains.
Lose all their guilty stains,
lose all their guilty stains;
and sinners plunged beneath that flood
lose all their guilty stains.
The dying thief rejoiced to see
that fountain in his day;
and there may I, though vile as he,
wash all my sins away.
Wash all my sins away,
wash all my sins away;
and there may I, though vile as he,
wash all my sins away.
I'm still going to All Nations Church which conveniently starts at 2pm, so I can go church-hopping in the mornings to help friends find churches!
Happy Sunday!
